Lauren DelBrocco and Chris Zidek are a a unique duo. DelBrocco is a traditionally trained metalsmithing and Zidek a muralist, illustrator, designer, and painter. Zidek designed the overall composition, and DelBrocco designed the clasp and hand fabricated the parts. This piece titled Primum Rituale: Temperance, is a large necklace with a spring pin locking clasp that opens by pulling down the amphora. The necklace rests in a custom black acrylic box with securing foam. Primum Rituale: Temperance is reminiscent of cause and effect, signify choice, and empowers the wearer. You control your body, your body is your being.
