Teaching Philosophy
November 18, 2024My teaching philosophy centers on fostering an inclusive, student-centered environment where individuals feel empowered to explore, experiment, and develop their unique artistic voices. Drawing on my experiences as an artist, designer, and educator with learning disabilities, I prioritize diverse instructional techniques—visual aids, hands-on demonstrations, and detailed course materials—to accommodate varied learning styles. I believe in creating a space where students can take creative risks, encounter challenges, and grow through moments of uncertainty, building confidence and resilience. Emphasizing collaboration, craftsmanship, and professional preparedness, I guide students to refine their technical and conceptual skills while cultivating their ability to communicate effectively and engage with broader audiences. Ultimately, I strive to inspire students to embrace their artistic journeys with curiosity, innovation, and a strong sense of purpose.
